This video gives an insight into the working artistic practice of one of Eastbourne's most talented artists, Lisa Joffe, who's solo exhibition opens this week at Art Under Ground.
Joffe's stunning paintings are a physical act producing energetic interpretations of our local landscapes. The exhibition opens Friday 1 July, if you would like to attend the Private View please contact [email protected], or you can also view the exhibition Fridays and Saturdays 1 - 30 July 10am-4pm, or when the Under Ground Theatre is open for other events.

I would have liked to give a balanced and unbiased view, but I couldn't find any artists backing a Brexit... sorry! Here's a gallery of artists work urging voters to remain, on Dazed Digital
I love to watch TED Talks, when I'm feeling un-enthused they can give your brain a kick start and inspire and motivate. The creative process can often be frustrating, and when, like many of us you have to fit around other commitments such as family and work, and restrictions of studio space and materials, it's too easy to give up. But perhaps these burdens and stumbling blocks could actually be a help and not a hinderance..
The 20th annual South East Open Studios has just opened with a selection of artists and craftspeople from across the south east. A chance to look a little outside of our town and discover some inspirational work by artists in neighbouring villages, towns and counties. I am excited by the work of Alexander Johnson, Ceridwen Jane Gray, James Marsh, Mandy Munroe and David Shaw to name but a few. The Open Studios are on until 19 June, find out more information on their website: http://www.seos-art.org/.
