Picture
JFK Turner

'The paintings are based on the forms of found objects from the street. On a surface of wood the image is built from discarded materials like photographs, books and clothes. Household paint, wax and varnish are poured - congealing and cracking like spilt paint on a pavement. The attacked surface gives the work a physical quality. The ordinary becomes unusual.'
